SihanoukVille, Cambodia is the latest stop for many South-East Asian cruises. This seaside town is home to the only port in Cambodia that can accommodate most cruise ships.
Most ships arrive early morning at the port, busses take the passengers downtown, to the beach or to one of the Wats, and the ship leaves in the evening.
Some ships have itineraries that include a quick trip to Angkor Wat, the famous temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and then catch up to the ship, by air, at the ship's next destination. (usually Bangkok or Saigon.)

Cruise lines from P&O Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Princess Cruises, Crystal Cruise, Orion Expedition, and Holland America are scheduled for port calls here through 2012.

Time is usually short during your stop in SihanoukVille, so as is typical, from early morning through evening, most passengers tour around, eat, swim, and tour some more before returning to the ship in the evening. Many also chose to go back to the ship for lunch around noon or 1pm, as this is the hottest part of the day.

SihanoukVille. A great place for photography
SihanoukVille's also famous for our beer, Angkor Beer, the national beer of Cambodia, which is made at the top of SihanoukVille Mountain. You can see the brewing tanks on the top of the hill from most places in town. If you're in town on Wednesday, come up at 3pm for some beer sampling.
